wokrshop — 9.10.2021 08:00

We invite you to be the creators of your own stories and characters! Shadow silhouettes, puppets, hand puppets, object characters and more are waiting for you to meet them.
We’ll go behind the scenes of the Animation Theatre together where we’ll meet different puppet handling techniques and fantastic puppet characters.

During the workshop we will discover and experiment:
-practical principles of animation in puppet theatre
-creating and animating a character
-different types and techniques of puppetry and puppet handling
-teamwork
-lots of fun

The workshop will be coordinated by Andreea Roxana Bolovan and Robert Gutunoiu, puppeteers.

After graduating from two art universities, Theatre - Performing Arts, Spiru Haret University, and Puppet Theatre, followed by two years of Master in Animation Theatre (UNATC- Bucharest), actress Andreea Roxana Bolovan got in touch with the Romanian puppet theatre world, working as a puppeteer actor at the Puck Puppet Theatre in Cluj Napoca, but also in independent shows in the field. In 2010 he was certified as a trainer in theatre in education programs for children and teenagers, within the DICE project of Kava Cultural Group Foundation, Hungary.

“I fell in love with animation theatre in 2010. In this project I am working on a branch of animation theatre, which is very dear to me, namely - shadow theatre” (Robert Gutunoiu).
Robert Gutunoiu is a puppeteer. He studied Puppet Puppet Theatre at the University of Theatre and Cinema Arts I.L. Caragiale. For three years he collaborated with Puck Puppet Theatre Cluj-Napoca and performed in many independent puppet shows.
