A terrific night of klezmer, Yiddish music and Transylvanian music with the International Klezmer Collective.

The group features pioneering and renowned klezmer musicians based in London, collaborating with colleagues far and wide (USA, Romania, Canada) who share a passion and creative spirit for these beautiful and often interweaving musical styles.

The Fidl Kapelye (‘string ensemble’ in Yiddish) features Flora Curzon (fiddle, UK) and Francesca Ter-Berg (cello, UK) who make up the critically-acclaimed duo Fran & Flora; Anna Lowenstein (fiddle, UK) from the widely-celebrated London production of “Indecent”; and the klezmer/Transylvanian music researcher and Fulbright scholar Zoë Aqua (fiddle/brácsa, USA). This performance also features special guest Beth Silver (cello, Canada), a performer and arranger of the powerful album “Yiddish Glory.” They will play a set of heavy klezmer and Transylvanian dance tunes, doinas, original compositions and songs
