Bob Cohen & Móser Ádám

klezmer concert — 27.10.2023 14:00

Eastern European klezmer music is a viable musical tradition, not just a form of nostalgia, says Bob Cohen.

Originally from New York, Bob has repeatedly visited Hungary, where as a child he loved the Sebő ensemble and dance houses. In 1993, he founded Di Naye Kapelye, an international musical group with which he assembled a rich Yiddish and Hungarian repertoire.
In Tranzit House, Bob Cohen has been present from the very beginning, giving a concert in 1997 at the opening event of the space, and returning since then many times.

As a composer, Ádám Móser works in several Hungarian theaters, plays in orchestras, clubs and festivals and often gives solo concerts. His music is a unique and individual blend of French chanson, Argentine tango, klezmer and Balkan music, with a lot of improvisation. He has found himself in these genres. Being an East Central European, the meeting of cultures is crucial for him.
