On Friday, October 10, we invite you to Casa Tranzit for a snack and stories prepared by the organizers, artists, and collaborators with whom we have the joy of celebrating the 28th anniversary of the space! We’d love to talk to you and share the program for the coming days.
We’ll also be joined by our journalist colleagues, as the event will double as a press conference.
Starting at 𝟏:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌, we’ll prepare lunch together with our dear friend Apai Emese, a cultural mediator who uses culinary practice as a tool for cultural intervention.
At 𝟑:𝟑𝟎 𝐏𝐌, we’ll host a conversation between Selyem Zsuzsa and Tompa Andreá about the memory of place and the potential of literature. Beginning at 𝟓:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌, there will be a roundtable discussion (also streamed live) where organizers and participating artists will talk about the concept and program of this year’s Tranzit Days edition.
Right after the discussion, we’ll stay together for the opening of the retrospective exhibition “TranzArt in Situ.” Then, at 𝟕:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌, we’ll head down to the Main Hall for the concert 𝑆𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚/𝑖𝑛 𝑇𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑧𝑖𝑡, and after the concert, starting at 𝟖:𝟑𝟎 𝐏𝐌, we invite you to join us for a community dinner.

This edition starts from the concept of 𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐚 – understood as a real space (not utopian, meaning “without place”), yet layered with symbolic meanings and potentialities that reflect the society it belongs to.
We’re celebrating 28 years of Casa Tranzit through music, performances, round tables, book launches, and exhibitions!
